This sea monster has supposedly been spotted (and captured) in various locations over the last 200+ years, yet remains classified as a cryptid.
In Depth:
Numerous sightings of a sea serpent-like creature off the Pacific Coastline have happened over the last several hundred years, with the earliest being from early native American peoples. Named the Cadborosaurus by settlers to the area in the 1800s, it became known simply as "Cabby."
Supposedly several people have seen (or misidentified) Cabby, and several instances of people catching the creature have been spread around in newspapers over the years. While some scientists doubt the existence of Cabby, some people still cling to the idea, with sightings happening as recent as the 1991.
