Glowing orbs of light appear over the dog track here, the cause of which is unknown.

In Depth:

This racetrack closed to live racing events back in 2009 when grayhound racing was banned in the state. However, there are still some visitors that show up here every so often, and I don't mean the ones that come for the betting parlor and simulcasting.

Apparently it is also a hot spot for seeing orbs, which can sometimes be seen hovering and zipping above the track. Many believe this to be a result of ignis fatuus: swamp gas.
