Summery:
The lights here may actually be ignis fatuus (swamp gas), but there have been stories of the lights moving about the trees which are otherwise unexplained.
In Depth:
The name Hockomock means "the place where spirits dwell." For centuries Native Americans in the Massachusetts area used the swamp for hunting game and as a burial ground, and in modern times has been a location rife with sightings of strange lights and creatures.
While most sightings of lights could be simply swamp gases, other lights moving about the swamps and mysterious disembodied voices continue to encourage the belief that alternative explanations are still viable.
