Great Zimbabwe is an abandoned city from the middle ages located in modern-day Zimbabwe, thought to have been the capital of an unknown kingdom during the Iron Age until it was abandoned sometime in the 15th century, with evidence suggesting that it was extremely rich at one time. Very little is known about this site, but is an important national monument to the people of Zimbabwe as their nation is named after it.

While the site is of significant importance to Zimbabwe and its people, it is also reportedly haunted. Visitors to Great Zimbabwe have reported odd figures roaming the ruins at night, odd noises and voices. There have even been claims of people being shoved or pushed by an invisible assailant. Some people claim that the spirits that haunt Great Zimbabwe are guardians of the city, there to protect whatever treasures that remain that have yet to be discovered.
