First responders arriving at the scene of a car accident hear a voice crying out for help, but it couldn't have been from either of the vehicle's occupants.

In Depth:

Medical student Jennifer Groesbeck and her daughter 18-month-old daughter Lily had been visiting her patients late one night at their home in Salem, Utah. Jennifer had taken a Klonopin (clonazepam), yet decided that it was time for her to make the trek back home to Springville.

During the trip back, Jennifer lost control of the vehicle and flipped the car into the Spanish Fork River, where it settled upside-down with the front of the vehicle resting on the shoreline. The wreck wasn't discovered until the next afternoon by a fisherman, who assumed the vehicle had been abandoned. He called the police to investigate, but due to his failure to check the vehicle first responders did not expect people to still be in the vehicle.

When they arrived, emergency workers heard an adult female voice call out form the vehicle for help, and the officers immediately sprang into action. They flipped the car over and found young Lily still alive, having been hanging from her car seat over the frigid water for hours. Jennifer, however, had been killed instantly in the crash, and it was then the first responders realized that there wasn't anyone around that could have called them for help.

The incident had been recorded on an officer's bodycam, the video showing the moment where they all reacted to the voice.
